QPOCA

(Queer People of Color and Allies)

"WSU Queer People of Color and Allies (QPOCA) is a safe space for WSU students, staff, faculty, and community members to discuss the issues Queer People of Color encounter at WSU and in the greater community. As a collective, we strive to learn along side one another about the multiple ways they can support Queer People of Color. Queer People Of Color and Allies is an intersectional organizations that specifically focuses on issues that encompass Queer folxs of colors experience. We try to emphasize transgender, gender non conforming, disability, mental health, differing forms of queer experiences, and mobilizing a queer theory not just identity. A space where people can exist as their full selves while their humanity is celebrated and supported."

Meetings: Wednesdays 6 pm, Women*s Center (Wilson Short 8)

GSA

(Gender and Sexuality Alliance)

"The Gender and Sexuality Alliance (GSA) is an ASWSU committee that fosters support, community, and awareness for gender and sexually diverse persons as well as allies within the WSU community. The GSA is a safe zone specifically created to be supportive of the LGBTQIA+ community. No one will be asked to identify their gender identity nor orientation nor be pressured to do so. Anything said in the group will remain in the group."

Meetings: Tuesdays 6 pm, CUB 204

Q*STEM

"This group is primarily for members of the LGBTQ+ community who are pursuing a degree in the STEM field as a place to study and facilitate discussion about issues within the STEM field, though we welcome anyone in the community!"

Meetings: Mondays 6:30 pm, GIESORC (CUB 401)
