Bio: Marco Cerqueira, Graduate Assistant, (he, him, his) is a Brazilian journalist. He is a second-year Ph.D. student in Cultural Studies and Social Thought in Education at Washington State University. He was a fashion editor in a Brazilian newspaper before getting a master's in Global Fashion Management at the Fashion Institute of Technology at the State University of New York. He also has a master's in Latin American Studies at Ohio University, where he poetically immersed in the clash of Spaniard and Mexica cultures. He is a transfer student from the University of Florida, where he studied Mesoamerican and Latino cultures in the Ph.D. of Art History for one year. After three research trips to Mexico City, Puebla, and Cholula, he started writing an autoethnography positioning himself as a queer Latinx poet-researcher.
