Outreach and Education Coordinator
Bio: Acacia Kapusta (she/her/hers) serves as the Outreach and Education Coordinator for GIESORC, the Access Center, MSS, and the Women’s Center under the unit of Community, Equity, and Inclusive Excellence. She is responsible for establishing a faculty workshop series on students with disabilities, created and maintains Fluid Fashion at GIESORC, and serves on the Cultural Competency Training Redevelopment Collective. She is also active in the student affairs community, serving as a DO-IT mentor, a member of APAC, and creating the Disabled Staff and Faculty + Allies affinity group for the WSU system. Prior to this, Acacia did a short stint as an Access Advisor, and was a Residential Education Director before that. She did her master’s degree in Student Affairs at San Diego State University, and her bachelor’s in Hospitality Management at Cal Poly Pomona where she has been invited back to speak on her experience as a disabled professional in April 2019!
